Work Is FUN

Well a monumental day has arrived. I have sold my world famous futon. After 8 years, it is sad to see it go like a strange co-worker you met in Korea. On a quick count of my contacts, a conservative estimate on different guests who have stayed on the futon is over 45. And those are just top of mind friends, not occasions. If you count Baldini alone, he would rack up at least 20 occasions. It has served many a good time and a good time to many. Luckily the lighting in my room is bad, so the poor bastard who bought it off Craig's list couldn't see the spots & stains. In its place, is a new futon for new memories. Also, I got rid of my cheesy headboard & footboard which wern't even attached anyway and bought a new cherrywood sleighbed. In addition, I got rid of my fake oriental rug from IKEA. So the place is finally starting to come together. I've cleaned some places that have never seen light in 8+ years. I've received word from my landlord that new tile in kitchen & bathroom, in addition to recessed lighting and new textured walls & paint are coming. So we'll see, as I may never leave and buy a >half a million dollar piece of crap with 1.5 hour commute each way. Still trying to unload more crap. If only Schmidt lived closer. (Sorry to say, no one wants that Ritz fake antique radio.) So the next time you all mooch out a free vaca weekend down to LJ, you'll see some improvements and have a new place to lay your head.

I know my blog sucks. Nothing too spectacular to write about. Starting to fix up my place a little, buying some new furniture, and getting rid of some old crap. Starting to travel again for work. June gloom is finally gone with sunny days. 4 days off from work last weekend for 4th of July was great. 5 nights of great bbq and a killer fireworks show right from LJ cove. Still looking at houses which is depressing. Call me so when I hear about your boring lives, so I feel better.
