Thanksgiving

My thanksgiving this year was spent for only the second time in San Diego, primarily due to the visit from my godson, Jack and his parents, Kevin & Eileen Isola visiting along with dog, Milo. After "working from home" on Wed, our Thanksgiving day started with a run on the beach in perfect mid 70's weather, before starting to cook two turkeys, one traditionally, the other deep fried and all the fixins. Despite several drinks before removing from boiling oil, we only suffered a dropped bird and had a great dinner. We also had a big day with little Jack on Saturday as he walked for the first time (in my house to me). Here's some pics from our big day.

Pictures from Iraq

Thought some of you may be interested in some great pics from Iraq from one of Simran's closest friends, whom she baby sat as an infant. He recently enlisted starting his service in Korea and quickly was deployed to Iraq for about the past 3 months. He recently sent her several pictures showcasing his life in this crazy war. She also built a great web site blog for his friends & family to stay in touch with him. Links to both blog & pics are below. Best of luck Rory.

Tone's Big Day

Just back from a quick trip to Rochester & Greenville, South Carolina. Had a great time catching up with one of my buddies who lives in the Crotch, Mark and girlfriend, Amy. Mark & I met in Milan when we were both exchange students in our MBA programs. We traveled all throughout Europe together and had tons of laughs. Getting ready for a long Thanksgiving weekend in LJ with the Isola clan heading West.

Here's a few pics of Baldini's killer wedding.

A great speech (too bad no one remembers it)

I agree with Mona, that vest doesn't match

The 2 day hang-over

For the third time in as many months after as many weddings I'm suffering from a 2 day day hangover. This wedding weekend was extra special as it was the wedding of Lynn Pescherine. Further, I was able to enjoy it with one of my closest friends, who was the provider of my last major hang-over, Tony Baldini & his new wife, Caroline. It was good to see a close 3 way tie for drunkest person at the wedding. My weekend started on Thursday evening flying up to Sac to hang with my folks, then off to the East Bay on Friday for drinks, dinner & more drinks with Tony & Mona Keeler and Wes Smith. After a slow morning and breakfast with the twins, I spent a few hours hangin with Lynn in her suite overlooking the city. Then it was a run with Baldini down to the Golden Gate bridge and off to the wedding. The ceremony was especially exciting with young Ryan very excited to hang on his mommy throughout the ceremony. Then the drinking began. Lynn looked gorgeous and was very happy. The next day was extremely rough and made only more painful by attending a California Family Winery wine tasting with over 300 wineries pouring that Tony Baldini was working at and got me a ticket to. The event itself was incredible with some fantastic wines, but after drinking champagne, white wine, red wine, beer all night long I just couldn't partake. Overall, another great wedding weekend. Congratulations to Lynn & Ernie.

PS for those keepiong track, anyone who was at TB's wedding last month in Napa could substantiate the tie among about 100 people for the drunkest person at the wedding award

Busy at work and not too much to blog about so I'll show a couple pics of my godson, Jack Isola at his 1st birthday back in August eating cake like his Dad and at Halloween this weekend. Big news for the Isolas as they move again out to Bentonville, Arkansas as Kevin got a promotion with Dial to work on the Wal-Mart account. Congrats and have fun living in AK. Off to Nor Cal for a 3 day weekend to see my folks in Sac, the boys in the Easy Bay and another wedding in SF.
